Estimates
Do I need an appointment for an estimate?
No, just stop by. For estimates at your convenience, the Thompson Collision Center is open Monday through Friday 8am to 6:00pm, and Saturday from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Get directions.
How long does an estimate take?
We know your time is precious. While our estimators are trained in quickness and accuracy, if your current schedule prevents you from waiting with us while your estimate is in process, we will gather the necessary information and handle remotely with you.
Parts / Repair / Process
What kind of parts do you use on my car?
Our goal is to return your vehicle to its pre-loss condition. We will work hand in hand with your insurance company and our parts specialists to ensure the highest quality parts replacement plan. Our access to OEM parts is unmatched.
How will I know if my car is totaled?
A car is totaled at the discretion of your insurance company, when the price of repairs exceeds the determined value of your vehicle. Your assigned estimator will work hand in hand with your insurance adjuster to ensure you get the best quality service and completely understand this process.
Do you offer rentals?
Thompson Collision will help you obtain alternate transportation. Swap cars with us! We offer on site Toyota rentals. Our Rental Department works with your insurance company, billing directly to your claim's rental policy. We will make sure you have the coverage needed, and assist you in renting the appropriate rental. Any questions regarding your specific rental coverage or your elected policy should be directed to your insurance agents or claims teams. We also offer in-area courtesy shuttles and reunite tow returns.
Who pays for my rental?
Our Rental Department will work with the insurance company directly adhering to your specified elected insurance coverage, or offer you the most competitive retail rate in the area. We will make sure you have the coverage needed, and assist you in renting the appropriate vehicle. Any questions regarding your specific rental coverage or your elected policy should be directed to your insurance agents or claims teams.
Will my paint match?
The Thompson Collision center has invested in the auto industry's top of the line, most advanced repair and refinishing technology. Your vehicle's paint formula is created specifically to your OEM finish and customized to your manufacturer's paint code. Our paint team is trained and certified under each manufacturer's requirements to ensure a flawless refinishing product.
How long will my repair take?
Each vehicle's repair plan is carefully curated by our team.The timeline is tailored specifically to each individual vehicle's needs, depending on the amount of work to be done.
Insurance
Do you take my insurance?
The Thompson Collision Center works directly with all insurance companies. Thompson Collision is a direct repair facility for both Erie and Chubb insurance companies specifically, however, rest assured we work with ALL insurance companies through our shared estimating system.
Following Repairs
When will I have to pay my deductible?
Your deductible amount is determined by your insurance company and your elected policy. Payment is due upon receipt of your completed repairs. Your deductible will be due, including any insurance payments you may have received, at pick up. We accept most forms of payment including all major credit cards, personal checks, cash, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
When can I wash my car?
You may wash your vehicle in cool water using your preferred gentle car wash solution following collision repairs. Be Careful while drying to make sure your towel is free of any debris that may scratch the vehicle. We do ask you to wait 90 days to wax, polish, or apply any protective sealants or adherents, following fresh paint work, or avoiding the areas of repair.
What if my service or inspection is due?
If your vehicle requires any due maintenance or your yearly inspection and emissions, we will personally transfer your vehicle to one of our corresponding Thompson dealerships to proceed with your vehicle's needs.
Is there a warranty on the repairs to my vehicle?
Yes. We guarantee all repairs with a Lifetime Warranty.
