It only takes one look to become infatuated with the all-new 2017 BMW X5. The luxurious third-generation vehicle features an abundance of safety features and is engineered to command the elements and is ready for any and all adventures.
You can choose from three engines that produce abundant on- and off-road power. The 35i inline six-cylinder 3.0-liter engine makes use of BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, while the 50i 4.4-liter TwinPower Turbo V-8 has been updated and outfitted with BMW’s Valvetronic throttle-less intake system. The 40e 2.0-liter four cylinder engine is the foundation for all plug-in hybrid iPerformance models, and provides performance and efficiency by pairing with the lithium-ion powered eDrive motor.
The xDrive all-wheel drive system disperses power between the front and rear axles and makes continuous adjustments to the ratio in order to adapt to suit road conditions, enhance handling and maintain traction on even the roughest surfaces.
The rear seats move forward and backward by up to three inches, and permit passengers using the DVD drive and two optional 10.2" LCD screens. The 40/20/40 seat split convert 35.8 cubic feet of cargo space to an roomy 76.7 cubic feet, and the cargo area includes two cargo rails, four fastening points, a rear cargo net and a tensioning strap -- so there’s more than enough functionality to secure all manners of gear.
Surround View offers you a clear sight line, as side and top-view cameras project through the 10.2" iDrive touch screen, while Parking Assistant helps you navigate your way into and out of tight spaces.
