Helping Hands for the Holidays - Thompson's Toy Assembly Workshop

Do you need a hand with those impossible directions for assembling your holiday toys and gifts? We're here to help make your life easier with our FREE Toy Assembly Workshop, Friday, November 27th through Tuesday, December 22nd. Just leave your unassembled gifts to the brains and brawn of our Service and Parts employees. Return a short while later to perfectly complete gifts! All we ask is that you donate a newly purchased and unwrapped toy for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots program. Toys for Tots barrels are conveniently located at most of the Thompson buildings. It's a great time to buy a new car at Thompson Toyota Lexus and BMW! President Obama signed the Auto Tax Deductions into law - The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act provides incentives to purchase new vehicles that may allow purchasers to take a federal tax deduction for taxes paid on the purchase.
Qualifying consumers may now deduct:
  - State and local motor vehicle sales taxes
  - Motor vehicle excise taxes
Consumer Qualifications:
  - Individual taxpayers whose adjusted gross income is less than $125,000 per year
  - Joint-filers whose combined adjusted gross income is less than $250,000 per year
  - Itemizers and non-itemizers who may deduct taxes "above-the-line" on their federal tax returns
Eligible Vehicles:
  - All new model year vehicles currently on dealers' lots that have no prior purchase history
  - New passenger cars and light trucks retailing up to $49,500 may collect full tax deductions.
   (For all vehicles above this price, consumers may deduct sales taxes on the first $49,500)
  - The vehicle must weigh less than 8,500 pounds total

*These provisions offer a typical new-vehicle buyer an estimated $300 to $600 in savings and apply to eligible purchases between February 17, 2009 and December 31, 2009.  The
provision applies to new vehicle purchases only.  Leases are not included. The Act also extends the 50 percent bonus depreciation deductions for business use of vehicles from 2008 to 2009. This notice does not constitute tax advice and cannot be used by the recipient or any other taxpayer, for the purpose of avoiding any penalties or interest that may be imposed under the Internal Revenue Code or equivalent state and local laws.
